STF GÖTEBORG/STIGBERGSLIDEN VANDRARHEM

Originally a boarding house for sailors in the ^19th century, this attractive white building was converted into a youth hostel in 1996. The welcome is warm and friendly, as is the backyard with its wooden tables and benches, at the foot of Masthugg hill. The rooms are clean and the sanitary facilities are in the corridor. Upstairs, shared kitchen and lounge with TV and sofas. There's an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and plenty of information on sightseeing in Gothenburg and the surrounding area.
