On Stortorget, from late April to late September, there is a cabin offering free bicycle loans. Leave a piece of identification and it's gone all day long!

Discover Karlstad with the popular boat-buses, which sail on Lake Vänern and the Klarälven delta. Only in the summer, this initiative allows you to go as far as Mariebergskoget, or to take a longer trip on the canals and the lake. The boat lines have many departure times during the day, and the ticket price is the same as a normal land bus ticket. 7 different lines, ask at the tourist office for the different routes. No reservation necessary.
