This village, 10 km south of Mora, is the birthplace of the famous Dalarna wooden horses. There are two factories that can be visited (they are opposite each other) and where you can discover the craft techniques used to create these objects, which are painted entirely by hand and have become one of the symbols of Sweden. In addition to the horses, which vary in size from a few millimetres to more than a metre, you can discover other handcrafted creations such as wooden pigs or roosters, clocks or clogs for example. The largest factory is that of Nils Olsson. Note that it is cheaper to buy a horse in Nusnäs than in a shop!
