GÄLLIVARE MUSEUM

A museum that retraces the history of the region since the men settled there. Three large rooms on the third floor take the visitor on a journey from the forest, with its wolves and trappers, to the typical Norrboten house of the 19th century. Period objects, stuffed animals and a sound atmosphere make for a pleasant visit. It also explains the evolution of iron ore mining for more than a century and the calamity of the mosquito in the area! On the second floor, shop and collection of old cameras.
