The visit of this former silk factory is an opportunity to discover a unique place, witness of the Swedish industrialization.
This is the last remaining silk factory in Scandinavia! Opened by Knut August Almgren, the factory was one of the largest in the country, supplying the royal court, the bourgeoisie and the nobility of Stockholm. The tour offers an insight into this factory, a witness to the beginnings of industrialization in Sweden. The second floor showcases period machinery, while the attic reveals more about the history of silk.
