The surrounding area is home to some of the finest coral reefs on Flores. Off the coast of the village, the island that rises up would make Carpathian vampire enthusiasts shudder: it's covered in bats, but feels like it's teeming with parasites. The rocks are alive with sea lizards in a variety of colors. At dusk, go to the end of the Riung pontoon and look out over the water in complete darkness.
