This city, which is not of major tourist interest, can constitute a step before Mount Bromo ascent. We don't really recommend to stop there, especially since the discovery of Mount Bromo takes all its beauty when you discover it at sunrise. Therefore, it is better to predict its visit by arriving in the evening on the heights around the Bromo, so simply cross Probolinggo quickly. However, if you come from Surabaya, you probably should stop there. You will find on site all information for the Bromo ascent.
