VIEUX SOUK

Sharjah's old souk, recently restored, offers a glimpse into the traditional architecture of the eastern emirates. To understand what a souk was, what the shops were like and what daily life was like before the oil revolution, visit the traditional craft museum. In a reconstructed alley, you will discover the grocer, the potter, the khoos (basketry made from palm branches), the pearl merchant, the traditional remedies, the Koranic school, the jeweller, the date merchant... A very well done reconstruction!
