MONUMENT AUX MORTS WAHAT AL KARAMA

The memorial is built around two main buildings. The war memorial is composed of 31 aluminium tablets that rest on top of each other to symbolize unity, solidarity and mutual support. On the top are inscribed some of the quotations and poems of important figures of the country. The pavilion of honour contains the names of the nation's heroes since the country's foundation in 1971. UK-based artist Idris Khan designed the whole thing.
