MINDEPARKEN

Mindeparken is a place of memory and a park. In front of you, a wall made of limestone brought from Euville in the Meuse (one of the battlefields of Lorraine in 14-18) on which are engraved the names of the 4 144 Danish soldiers killed during the Great War. Enlarged in 1939 and again in 1945, each wartime period added an extension. In spite of the commemorative atmosphere, the setting is very pleasant and the view on the bay of Aarhus splendid. Ideal to spend an afternoon in the sun... and remember those who made European history.
