BOOK1 Design Hostel combines good times, good design and a good night's sleep. Think "bar, miniature golf, tasty food, fun and events, all combined" - and add cool dorms, bunk rooms and private rooms for the perfect mix. That's why BOOK1 is a unique hostel that challenges the notion of a typical hostel stay.
The designer hostel is located in an iconic Aarhus building dating back to 1934, which until 2015 housed the Aarhus Main Library. The location is ideal between the Latin Quarter and the famous ARoS museum, offering guests a stunning view of the iconic ARoS rainbow. The amusement park, Mølleparken, is an extension of BOOK1, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor space while being in the heart of the bustling city of Aarhus.
BOOK1 is a hybrid that combines classic hostel elements, such as bunk bed dorms and laundry facilities, with luxury hotel elements, such as private rooms and suites, a sauna and unique design. All of this is accompanied by a cool miniature golf concept! Guests and locals alike can play on 14 miniature golf courses located in the hostel's bar and social spaces - an immersive experience that reimagines the miniature golf course, giving it an indoor setting combined with the bar. Where else can you find a designer hostel that offers a full indoor minigolf experience, complete with bar and food?
Brøchner Hotels is known for transforming buildings with respect to the original architecture, and BOOK1 is no exception. The red brick Pod Dorms reference the library's architecture by evoking the building's facade and old shelves. The ceiling lights mimic the library's original lamps and the stairs are original. BOOK1 is a place to be in private, whether staying in a bunk room, Pod Dorm or private double room or suite. The interior design is consistent with the original architecture and elements of the building. The name BOOK1 also refers to the former main library which contained hundreds of books and the fact that you can book a bed or a room according to your needs.
