TID - MUSEUM FOR ODENSE
Museum of history and archaeology, with a permanent exhibition covering the period from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
Tid - Museum for Odense (formerly Møntergården) is Odense's museum of history and archaeology. It is housed in a half-timbered house dating from 1646. Here, you can learn all about the history of Fionie and Odense, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The star of the show: the 10,000-year-old Koelbjerg Man (Koelbjergmanden), the oldest skull found in Denmark in 1941. Until recently (2016), scientists believed these remains to be those of a woman, hence the sometimes persistent name Koelbjergkvinden.
