This manor house, set in 4,000 hectares of superb countryside, was built in the century for defensive purposes.
It is the favourite walk of the inhabitants of the region. The estate extends over nearly 4,000 hectares in a superb setting. The manor was built during the 16th century for defensive purposes, with a vast moat opening onto a small lake. Andersen is said to have written The Ugly Duckling here! In the park, designed by an English gardener, small pavilions shelter tropical plants. Further on, another small lake, fields and the Hesede woods with the Villa Galina restaurant.
