Sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city, Champ de patates is a neighborhood established on the shores of Lake Sortedam by philanthropist Emil Horneman. Cobblestone streets, small brick houses, flower gardens in summertime, cargo bikes hanging on the railings... This former social housing district is attracting many families and becoming gentrified. For the peace and quiet of parents and children frolicking outside, traffic is forbidden. A far cry from potato lines!
