NOUVEL AN - NEW YEAR'S EVE
Go there and contact
The midnight jump is the symbol of a great year to come. In the New Year, you too can jump at the twelve strikes of the clock!
On this day, there's no question of missing the king's traditional speech, broadcast at 6 p.m. sharp. The Danes return home or gather in a bar. After a vigorous Skol! toast, the crowds take to the city streets and gather at Town Hall Square or Queen Louise Bridge. Surprisingly, they wait wisely seated. But at the first "dong", they leap into the air with one body! Jumping into the New Year augurs well for the future.
