The famous Danish Vipp litter garbage cans need no introduction. The Vipp story began in 1939, when Holger Nielsen, a young metalworker, built a sturdy pedal-operated dustbin for his wife Marie's hairdressing salon. Over the next 50 years, it became a permanent fixture in Danish clinics. In 2009, the garbage can was included in the design collection of New York's MoMA! Today, still run by the same family, Vipp develops a wide range of furniture and everyday objects, as functional and chic as ever!
