This small establishment, run by a Romanian couple who have lived in Italy, serves excellent pizzas and other transalpine specialties: salmon or four-cheese pasta, salads, burrata, mussels sautéed with garlic and tomatoes, beef straccetti... Dishes are prepared with fresh vegetables and products imported from Italy, such as parmesan, mortadella, pecorino and olive oil. Located on a pretty pedestrian street in the center of Craiova, the Iberico restaurant offers cuisine with mainly Spanish influences (tapas, paella...), but also Mediterranean and beyond: beef stroganoff, pizzas, pastas, tuna tartar, almond-crusted salmon, burgers, chicken with truffle purée... The atmosphere is young, the setting welcoming and distinguished, reminiscent of an authentic Spanish tapas bar with its wood panelling, warm lights and imitation earthenware tiles. A very pleasant terrace stretches out over the cobblestones.

The most chic restaurant in Craiova, Epoca is located slightly set back from the pedestrian centre, in a beautiful old house. The setting is warm and distinguished, all in moulded woodwork and ironwork. The speciality of the house is angus or Argentinean beef cooked on stone, but the menu of the Swiss chef Jakob Hausmann offers a wide choice of dishes of international inspiration, in line with the seasons. On sunny days, the courtyard of the house hosts an elegant covered wooden terrace, stretched out with canvases. A beautiful culinary experience and a beautiful atmosphere.
