MARGARITAVILLE

The little brother of Montego Bay's Margaritaville has set up shop on Negril beach, much to the annoyance of its immediate neighbors. The atmosphere is super festive, and the music is often very loud. The food is served on large canteen-style tables, with your feet in the sand, under the glow of giant torches whose petroleum stench can be smelled by strollers from afar. On Fridays, the evening is devoted to the Sunset Beach BBQ Party, which attracts its fair share of tourists. Very American and not very authentic, it's worth noting that there's a lot of drinking going on at these parties.
