YUPORIMAKGUKSU

Korean restaurant

A flagship address in the city where you can enjoy an equally emblematic dish: makguksu. Perfect in summer, these cold buckwheat noodles are served in vegetable broth and sesame oil. Of course, red pepper paste is added. It's surprising to eat cold noodles like this but really delicious. Be careful because the restaurant closes early it is better to plan to go there for lunch service. In addition, there may be a bit of waiting because the restaurant is really a victim of its success.

TODAMSUTBUL DAKGALBI

Korean restaurant

Tasty, delicious, exquisite! That's all you need to describe this restaurant, whose popularity is well established here. You'll enjoy a succulent chicken barbecue. Three flavors are available: salt, chili paste or soy sauce. If you choose the latter two, be careful, as they burn faster! Although there are several restaurants of this type in Chuncheon, this one has the particularity of having outdoor tables. A great address, at really reasonable prices, so don't hesitate.

TONGNAMUJIB DAKGALBI

Korean restaurant

Located on the outskirts of the city, this large, modern restaurant is so popular that it's not uncommon to have to wait more than 1 hour before you can get your feet under the table. The reason for this success? Their incredible recipe for dalgkalbi (sautéed chicken, vegetables and chilli). To end the meal on a high note, there's nothing better than fried rice. The rice will be fried in the same dish used for the chicken, so it'll soak up its flavors. Your patience will be amply rewarded, but we recommend that you choose off-peak hours to avoid the crowds.

Korean restaurant €€

This restaurant is famous for its cold buckwheat noodles served in a broth called makguksu. This dish is one of the city's specialties. You can accompany your noodles with a tasty fried chicken in sauce, called dalkbokeumtang. The two go perfectly together (the freshness of the noodles balances the spiciness of the chicken) and it's a real treat. This restaurant, although very good, is slightly off-center, to the southeast of the center. But you can find these noodles in other restaurants in the center too.
