The Feira de Liberdade takes the pulse of São Paulo and captures part of its soul. Now in its 30th year, this market is one of Sampa's most traditional, with over 200 stalls scattered around the Praça da Liberdade. You can find everything, but it's certainly the Japanese cuisine (we're in the middle of the Japanese quarter) and the pastéis at low prices that make it so interesting. On the other hand, you'll have to be patient: at lunchtime, the crowds flock to the stalls. It's a pleasant Sunday stroll.
