The Mercado Municipal or Mercadao has been mentioned as one of the places you must see in São Paulo. This venerable market offers an endless variety of stalls and restaurants, such as the popular "Hocca" or the "Brasileirinho". It is impossible to leave the mercadão without trying the big mortadella sandwich (a bit greasy) or the cod pastel . The bars/restaurants are located upstairs and everywhere the fillings are always generous!

Un endroit surprenant par la propreté irréprochable des lieux.
Bien entendu il y a le fameux sandwich à la mortadelle qui contient au moins 300g de mortadelle, il y a aussi les "bolinhos de bacalhao" excellents.
Attention toutefois de ne pas vous faire arnaquer par les vendeurs de fruits exotiques qui vous font gouter un tas de choses qu ils vous proposent ensuite à des pris exorbitants
