Means of transport Mangaratiba

From Rio de Janeiro and Paraty, Ilha Grande can be reached in several different ways. Ilha Grande (as far as Abraão, the main village) can be reached from Mangaratiba, but there are only a few boats per day. The journey takes between 1h20 and 1h40, as the ferry is operated by CCR Barcas (www.grupoccr.com.br/barcas). If you're in a hurry and coming from Rio, it's quicker to take the boat at Conceição do Jacaré.

Mangatiba - Abraão: daily at 8 a.m., with an extra boat at 10 p.m. on Fridays.

Abraao - Mangaratiba : daily at 5.30pm.
