Rue Mouassine, home to numerous antique stores with a collection of foreign, Egyptian and Libyan pieces

Wide and open-air, Mouassine is lined with antique stores offering beautiful pieces at often high prices: it's up to you to know how to haggle for the object of your desire. Take a stroll down this street and look at the windows displaying finely decorated moukkalas, or fantasia rifles, or Berber daggers and jewelry. Some antique shops also sell Egyptian and Libyan pieces. Ask the dealer to show you his entire collection and, who knows, you may discover a little archaeological marvel.
