MARCHÉS DU MELLAH
Read moreThe Jewish quarter of the Mellah has three markets where it is good to stroll. Rather frequented by the inhabitants of the neighboring streets, you will not be solicited as in the alleys of the medina. The jewelers' souk gathers about fifty merchants, selling mainly gold. The covered market is home to fabric stalls and an array of haberdashers. The spice souk offers an impressive variety of spices and seeds and tubers of all kinds, but also common products such as black soap, henna or ghassoul.
L'ORIENTALISTE
Read moreAmong the most serious souvenir stores in Marrakech is the Orientaliste located on rue de la Liberté in the center of town. It is impossible to leave without having acquired a small refined local object that will find its place in your suitcase. Whether it's a bag, blue Moroccan earthenware, a Berber jewel, an old advertising poster, a decorative object, or a candle scented with rose or jasmine, the good taste and quality are noteworthy, enough to make us fall in love. All made in Morocco of course.
