The Palazzo Desdemona is a 3-star hotel located in the city of Essaouira. This establishment has a rich history, as it was once the warehouses of the city's Sultan in the 19th century. It has been completely renovated in the style of "Les Noces Juives", a painting by Delacroix inspired by his trip to Morocco. The hotel's name, Palazzo Desdemona, is a reference to Orson Wells' film "Othello", shot in Essaouira in 1949. The hotel has played an important role in the city's artistic and cultural development, regularly hosting actors, directors, writers and painters. The hotel's salons and patios host exhibitions by local, national and international artists. The Art Gallery at Palazzo Desdemona is currently presenting an exhibition by French painter Didier Spindler.
