A huge, labyrinthine riad in Marrakech's medina, a popular hostel with bright colors and recycled decor

Riad Rouge Marrakech is one of a group of seven youth hostels, all located in the medina. Here, sharing and conviviality are on the agenda, in the spirit of the backpackers. 80 beds in total and dormitories with up to 20 places. Nevertheless, the team has reserved the quietest part of this immense and labyrinthine riad for travellers seeking more tranquility. Bright colours and deco-recup, this very popular "hostel" is designed according to the rules of the art.

The management is regrettable. We booked for 4 people, we talked to the owner through booking to reserve a room for us, he confirmed that if there are 4 of us we would have a room for ourselves and when we get there they put us in a room with 14 bunk beds.
On the last day, our beds were full.
I don't understand how this place has customers, it's very uncomfortable and they don't try to solve anything for you.
I've seen junkies living under a bridge with better conditions.
Greetings,
Fran

Saludos,
Fran

During my travels in Morocco, Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge stood out as the best hostel in Marrakech, and I stayed here both the beginning and end of my journey in the country. Situated in a prime location, it's merely a 5-minute walk to Jemma el-Fnaa Square, Bahia Palace, and Badia Palace, with some of Marrakech's finest dining options just a few steps away.

The hostel's traditional riad-style architecture adds a remarkable charm, especially after traveling Morocco for a month. Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge promotes a remarkably sociable atmosphere, making it the most vibrant hostel I encountered in the country. I made a lot of good friends from this hostel. The staff, led by Abdul, Ahmed and others, create a warm and familial ambiance throughout the hostel.

Overall, Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge exceeded my expectations. Its central location, authentic atmosphere, and exceptional staff make it the perfect choice for anyone visiting Marrakech. Towels and breakfast are provided for free.
