The Alter Stadtwächter (literally: the Old City Guardian) is a traditional restaurant located just behind Potsdam's Brandenburg Gate, right in the centre and close to the Sanssouci Park. The dishes on offer are typical, simple and at the same time hearty: a lot of meat, but also a selection of vegetarian dishes. Very inexpensive lunch menu. The setting has everything of an authentic and comfortable, bright and pleasant restaurant.
