A popular museum in Berlin since its opening in 2007, retracing daily life in the GDR in a fun, interactive way.
Since its opening in 2007, the GDR Museum has become one of the most visited museums in Berlin. Its permanent exhibition shows everyday life in the GDR in a detailed but fun and interactive way: for example, you can take the wheel of a Trabant, sit in the living room of a 1970s apartment, listen to the inhabitants' testimonials... It's staged, but it's also entertaining. Naturally, the exhibition also deals with the surveillance of the Stasi and the East German prison system.

Bon musée mais mal organisé
Le musée est intéressant en soi mais inadapté à trop de monde, nous étions trop nombreux au m² avec une difficulté pour se déplacer et donc pour interagir avec les expositions (tiroirs, animations etc.).

Idéalement situé , en face de l’ile aux musées , c’est un lieu incontournable où l’on peut toucher du doigt le quotidien des habitants de Berlin est . Toutefois, la vision un tantinet trop moderne à mon goût de ce qui nous est proposé et l’absence de comparaison avec le mode de vie a l’ouest limite la perception du décalage qui existait alors...

Visite pendant une heure de ce musée très pop sur l’allemagne D’apres Guerre. Traduction essentiellement en allemand et anglais, mais intéressant.

Original design, interactive and well-documented exhibitions. See the revival of a "typical GDA" apartment. The museum gives a good idea of what East Germany has been with the fall of the wall.

Musée ludique et original avec plein de choses à tester pour une plongée dans la DDR. Musée bien placé sur les quais et populaire, il y a donc du monde
