Comfortable and spacious rooms in a historic hotel in Berlin.
This is Berlin's first women's hotel, even if young boys are accepted for up to 14 years. It opened its doors in 1989 in a very beautiful Art Nouveau building. The pension is on the 4 th floor and consists of twelve comfortable and spacious rooms dedicated to famous Berlin. The hotel is named after an Italian painter from the th century and hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists.

Tabakladen, kein Hotel.
Zwar ist das Rauchen dort verboten, doch stinkt das Zimmer nach Rauch. Auch Lüften half nichts. Atmen war kaum möglich.
Als ich dies beim Personal anmerkte, sagte man mir, ein anderes Zimmer wäre nicht möglich.
Zudem gab es eine zusätzliche Duftkompomponente, nämlich „verbrannt“. Das würde sicher von draußen kommen, sagte man mir.
Zudem waren an vielen Gegenständen Warnschilder. So etwas erlebt man nicht oft.
Gekrönt wurde der Aufenthalt, als nach dem Frischmachen des Zimmers meine Sachen (!) durchwühlt waren. Wer ein gutes Hotel sucht, kann in der selben Straße ein gutes finden. Hier von bitte Hände weg!!!

The location quite good, close to the center but this is not nearly enough to say it’s a decent hotel.
Price is ok.
First of all, the horrid smell of the bathroom, I have no idea what they did before I arrive but wow, never smelled something like this.
I have to keep the door close otherwise the room smells like a public bathroom.
Bad service: I’m here for work so I only had 3 hours of free time and I wanted to play a movie using an hdmi cable and my computer… hdmi port not working properly so I asked the receptionist to help me with this, maybe change the tv with one that works? The answer is no, maybe tomorrow.
So no movie ????
I travel a lot, I usually visit 5 to 6 hotels a month and this is one of those places I had to write a review to help other travelers decide to either come here or not.
No parking:
They told me there was parking.. guess what? Lies.
