Historical, cosy and romantic hotel with charming retro furnishings and a restaurant in Berlin's Mitte district.

Nomen est omen: Honigmond means "honeymoon" in the language of Goethe. This romantic hotel is located in a beautifully restored late 19th century building in a very central but quiet area. The rooms are bright, comfortable and have a strong character. Enjoy Berlin cuisine in the restaurant of the same name on the ground floor. The Borsig-Eck, the forerunner of the Hotel Honigmond, was a meeting place for intellectuals and artists as well as priests (two churches are nearby) during the GDR era.

Wenn man in Berlin Mitte außerhalb der sonstigen und manchmal leider langweiligen Boutique-Hotels eine schöne, extravagante Übernachtung sucht ist das Honigmond eine Empfehlung wert. Sehr schön gestaltete Zimmer… das Hotel und die Zimmer sehr sauber und wirklich überraschend gestaltet. Der Service war freundlich und extrem zuvorkommend. Selbst wenn die Parkplatzsituation nicht ganz unkompliziert ist , komme ich wirklich gerne wieder!????????????????????

The room had a very strong unpleasant smell of old stuff(most probably from the old wooden floor and the wooden cupboard/bed)
Felt like they didn't open the windows for ages. The heater was completely off while outside was snowing so i first had to open largely the windows to be able to breathe and then turn on the heater and i hope it will warm up enough to sleep comfortably since i arrived in the late evening.

Location is good, 2 stations away from the main central station. Also from the station to the hotel is only 5 min away while on the way one can find supermarkets and restaurants.

A plus point is the supplies for free tea and coffee in the hall. That is why 5/5 for the service + friendly staff.

Das Hotel ist gemütliche 6 - 10 Gehminuten vom Norbahnhof entfernt. Liegt in einem Wohngebiet an der Straße ( keine Hauptstraße daher nicht sehr unruhig und sehr laut ). Die Umgebung vor und um dem Hotel herum ist sehr sauber und ordentlich.
Wir wurden von einer jungen Dame sehr freundlich begrüßt. Bekamen alle notwendigen Informationen zu dem Hotel und zum Ablauf.

Toll fand ich auch die Kaffee- und Teeecke an der man sich kostenfrei bedienen durfte.

Zwei Etagen mit dem Fahrstuhl gut erreichbar. Die Farben und das Konzept das man unten gesehen hat, zieht sich durch alles passend durch.
Unser Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und schön geräumig.

Wurden morgens stets freundlich begrüßt am Empfang und abends dann bei der Rückkehr nach unseren Ausflügen wieder empfangen. Bei Fragen zu den Ausflugszielen wurde geholfen und beraten. Sowie nach den Eindrücken des ganzen gefragt.

Unser Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Dame grüßte immer wenn wir sie auf dem Flur sahen.
