Restaurant with a fine Rhine wine list, Alsatian and German cuisine on Kollwitzplatz in Berlin.
This restaurant is famous for its Alsatian and German specialities. So much so that even when you arrive at 4pm for dinner, all the tables are already reserved. If you manage to get a place, then try the Bäckehoffe (pieces of meat, marinated for a day with vegetables and potatoes in a special ceramic dish, a treat!). The house has a Rhine wine list. The former mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, likes to dine here and Gerhard Schröder took Bill Clinton with him, but you might also come across Angela Merkel there .

Discovered in the improvist, we were welcomed royally by the staff of this establishment caring for their guests. Impeccable service, with an availability and permanent smile, good cuisine combining traditional German dishes and dishes from Alsatian origin of good quality and the prices more than correct, this restaurant, although far from the town centre is worth visiting.
The best at Berlin and around
