ÎLE DE KETSCH

The island of Ketsch covers 500 hectares and offers many marked paths to explore. The access is via the old wooden bridge, the "Altrheinbrücke Ketsch", the gateway to this fabulous island located between the Rhine and the Old Rhine. This green paradise seduces with its dense vegetation, its alluvial forest and its beaches on the river. During your walk, you will discover a rich fauna and flora. Wild boars, dragonflies, weasels, spotted salamanders, and a variety of birds live in this natural area of meadows and forests. It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the island and don't forget to bring mosquito repellent!
