Castle with tower built in 1210, now a hotel and restaurant in Bonn.
Built in 1210, this was one of the first castles on the Rhine and is located in Bad Godesburg, a stone's throw from Bonn. A popular residence of the Electors of Cologne in the Middle Ages, the fortress is built on a hill of volcanic origin and was largely destroyed during the so-called "Cologne War" in 1583. Today, it houses a panoramic restaurant and hotel. You can still visit the tower from Wednesday to Sunday, and enjoy breathtaking views.
