SCHUMANNHAUS - HOUSE OF ROBERT SCHUMANN
Schumann's home in Bonn from 1854 until his death in 1856, the clinic of psychiatrist Richartz.
An eminent figure in German musical history, Robert Schumann is not entitled to all the honors of his compatriot Beethoven. Nevertheless, a three-day festival in his honor is held every September. It has to be said that Schumann was not born in Bonn, but only ended his life there. Suffering from chronic depression, Schumann found refuge in this house, which was then the clinic of a psychiatrist, Dr. Richartz. He remained there until his death in 1856.
