HOUSE OF BEETHOVEN
Museum housed in Beethoven's birthplace, featuring portraits, paintings, scores and acoustic horns.
Bonn is its beloved child and this house has become a veritable pilgrimage place. The entrance of the home and the interior garden are very moving. Beethoven's home, totally unaffected by ages and wars, contains on two floors portraits of the masters and friends, busts and paintings of the composer himself, as well as a large collection of scores. Through the various exposed objects, we can reconstruct the life of the great Ludwig: an astonishing collection of acoustiques recalls the tragedy of his deafness. Among the jewels of this museum are the famous portrait of the artist by Joseph Stieler, his latest piano and a beautiful collection of ancient instruments.
The small garden is pleasant. As for the " musical visualization interactive" of Fidelio, at the cellar, the idea is really absurd, it is probably need to be initiated because it was difficult to adhere.
