THE REDOUTE
Classical building with an extraordinary park in Bonn, hosting concerts and weddings.
The Redoubt is a majestic edifice in the classical style, the last remaining building from the era of the Prince Electors. Its halls are now used for concerts and weddings for private clients. In the past, balls were held here. It was here in 1792 that Beethoven played to Joseph Haydn. This encounter led to a second trip to Vienna for Beethoven under the tutelage of master Haydn. More recently, receptions were held here in the days of the FRG, including Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
