BEETHOVENHALLE

Inaugurated in 1959 to designs by architect Siegfried Wolske, the Beethovenhalle is one of Bonn's most emblematic cultural venues. The modernist style of its architecture already makes it an obvious point of interest, as do the concerts it hosts. Its top-quality acoustics have made it a benchmark in German classical music circles. Performances of the Beethovenfest festival take place here, as do other concerts ranging from Beethoven, of course, to Brahms and Mahler. Jazz is also occasionally performed here.
