SCHNÜTGEN MUSEUM
Museum of Christian Art featuring sculptures, liturgical vestments, talking busts, crucifixes, combs, works of art, textiles...
A major museum of Christian art from the late Middle Ages to the Baroque period, it is housed in the beautiful church of Sainte-Cécile, where you can appreciate the unity of tone between the collection and the monument. Both sculptures and liturgical vestments are on display. Many of these objects are well worth a visit, such as the Crucifix of Saint-Georges and the comb of Saint-Heribert, a detailed ivory sculpture. The collection also includes wood and stone sculptures, goldsmiths' and silversmiths' works of art, stained glass, rare textiles..
