The City Museum, located in the Zeughaus, presents the history of the city, from antiquity to present, on its distinctive customs and signs. Interesting passages over the period of the Third Reich and the post-war period. See also: the beautiful models that show us the evolution of the city and its growth. The permanent exhibition presents an overview of 1,200 years of city history, while special exhibitions, academically well documented and organized dynamically, are devoted to specific themes in the history of citizenship.

déçu !
je suis allé le 20 juin voir ce musée, à l'ouverture (j'ai même attendu devant jusqu'à 10H). Alors que c'était l'un des objectifs de mon voyage à Cologne, j'ai été bien déçu d'entendre que les collections permanentes n'étaient pas visitables... Seule une expo temporaire était proposée. L'information n'était pas visible ailleurs, on aurait pu l'indiquer à l'office du tourisme par exemple. Matinée gâchée et regrets de ne pas mieux connaitre l'histoire de la ville..
