SAARBRÜCKER SCHLOSS (SARREBRUCK CASTLE)
Built in the century, the castle has been renovated and replaced by the Saarbrücken town hall and the Volkshochschule.
Saarbrücken Castle, built in the 18th century by Prince Wilhelm-Henri of Nassau-Sarrebrück to designs by Friedrich Joachim Stengel, stands on the site of a former Renaissance castle and fortified castle. Today, the castle has been refurbished, and the castle square is home to Saarbrücken's town hall and the Volkshochschule. From the courtyard, you can admire the richly decorated facade, the towers and the gardens.
