For centuries, there was a pilgrims' inn, which in 1937 was replaced by a new building, completely destroyed during the bombings of the Second World War in 1943 and 1944. Rebuilt between 1949 and 1955, the four-story building, as we see it today, houses a charming private hotel. The famous Christmas market is directly outside the door.
