16th-18th-century château in the heart of the Normandy Bocage with Louis XV furnishings, dovecotes and English-style park
In the heart of the Bocage region, the Pontécoulant estate was owned by the Le Doulcet de Pontécoulant family from the 14th century onwards. The château, as it stands today, was built in the 16th century and enlarged in the 18th century. Listed as a Monument Historique, the estate features a magnificent main building of schist and granite, opening onto a large courtyard of honor, close to dovecotes. Its Louis XV furnishings, ceremonial hall and English park, as well as a small tea room, make it the ideal setting for a romantic stroll.
