BIG ELBSTRASSE

Below the Altonaer Balkon, it offers a nice walk along the estuary and has a certain charm, with fish shops here and there. At both ends of the Große Elbstraße are two places not to be missed: on the St. Pauli side, the Fischmarkt with its fish market and its beautiful hall built in the 19th century, and on the Övelgönne side, the Elbstrand, a sandy beach facing the cranes and containers of the port. Between the two, the Fischereihafen, the fishing harbor, is also very pleasant for a bite to eat or a drink during the day.
