REEPERBAHN

The Reeperbahn is the Pigalle and Broadway of Hamburg. This avenue in Sankt Pauli is the Eldorado of erotic entertainment; on more than 600 meters of the street, erotic cabarets, peep-shows, sex shops, X-rated cinemas, naughty theaters, bars of all kinds and, drowned out in the whole, establishments for the general public... Given the size of the port, Sankt Pauli naturally had its own red light district. At number 1, you can see the "Dancing Towers" of the architect Hardi Teherani, which mark the entrance to the Reeperbahn. It is said that when he imagined them he was thinking of a couple dancing the tango, hence their amazing broken and bent shape. They are 75 and 85 meters long and are made of glass and steel.
