The restaurant of the Elbphilharmonie just across the street. An excellent place to eat before going to a concert.

Carls is the restaurant of the Elbphilharmonie, located right in front of the entrance. At Carls, there are two atmospheres. On the one hand, the luxurious and more chic brasserie, serving the modern French cuisine of Alsatian chef Michel Rinkert. On the other, the more affordable bistro, which is the perfect address for a snack or a light meal (sandwiches, soups, salads) before attending a concert on the other side. In the evening, you can feel the joyful and pleasant effervescence of pre-show. Welcoming and nicely decorated interior.

Der freundliche Kellner servierte uns Getränke auf der eigentlich nicht geöffneten Terrasse. Danke dafür. Chardonnay war klasse bei den ersten Sonnenstrahlen des Jahres ????

Everything starts with unfriendly hostess. Food - below any expectations, drinks - full disappointment. We ordered cocktail Negroni, it was ice water and a bit of Campari.

Wir waren heute zu fünft im Carls und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend! Obwohl noch ein, zwei Gäste fehlten, war der sehr aufmerksame Kellner sofort bei uns und hat die ganze Runde dann sehr herzlich empfangen!

Dass Essen war hervorragend. So banal es klingt - aber Senfeier als Vorspeise - perfekt! Ob Huhn, ob Rind - selbst beim Dessert musste dann doch noch geteilt werden.

Vielen Dank an alle Mitarbeiter für diesen sehr schönen Abend! Und euch einen wohlverdienten Feierabend!

Nettes Bistro in schöner Lage. Haben kurz (leckeren Kakao und Glühwein) was getrunken, um uns aufzuwärmen, bevor es weiter ging.
