Buchenwald is a necessary detour to measure the extent of the regression of Hitler's Germany versus the weimarienne humanist tradition. Opening time and information on GEDENKSTÄTTE BUCHENWALD
Open Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays from April to October, from 10 to 6pm, from November to March from 10 to 4pm. Closed from December 24th to December 26th, on December 31st and on January 1st. Free admission. One can go to Buchenwald by the bus (Weimar-Buchenwald line) of the central train station of the slow trains or the place of the station. The camp is with a few kilometers north of the city. Follow the symbol of the memorial, a kind of pyramid.
