SCHLOSS GÜSTROW - GÜSTROW CASTLE

This Renaissance castle has all the charm of Southern Europe in the middle of Northern Germany! Its collection contains an impressive variety of medieval objects, one of the most important in this part of the country: altars, sculptures, ornaments, all from the churches, convents and monasteries of the region. In particular, the oldest statue of the Virgin Mary in Mecklenburg can be seen. The castle was built in the 16th century and served as the seat of Duke Ulrich of Mecklenburg.
