This long point of land, which enters the waters of Lake Erie, is a good place for flora and is part of the migratory route of many birds. It is therefore not surprising to learn that the area is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The latter is located at the very end of the headland and is not accessible to the general public. Closer to the coast is Long Point Provincial Park and the Big Brook National Wildlife Area. To take full advantage of these natural beauty spots, you can camp in the area, including the provincial park, or rent a cottage.
