Hermanville-sur-Mer British Cemetery with the graves of 1,005 soldiers, numerous monuments, and commemorative plaques
Fallen on 6 June 1944 during the Landing, 1,005 soldiers, including 986 British, 13 Canadians, 3 Australians and 3 French, lie in Hermanville Cemetery. Numerous monuments and plaques of remembrance also mark out the commune: "The Sailor", the monument of the Royal Artillery, the plaques in memory of the 3rd British Infantry Division... Also, on the departmental road towards Lion-sur-Mer, a British Centaur tank, intended to support the Royal Marine Commando.

Il y a quelques monuments sur le bord de la plage ( place cuirassé Pierre Courbet). Il y a du stationnement très bien. Il s'agit d'un site simple mais qui vaut le détour si vous êtes passionnés de l'histoire de la Guerre et que vous voulez avoir une impression de la plage Sword.
