This traditional Bavarian festival, celebrated in many places in Canada, imports a little taste of Europe with its German beers and typical decor. There are all kinds of gourmet specialties such as schnitzels, bratwursts (famous German sausages), pretzels, pierogi, beef belly sandwiches, etc. The event also includes musical and cabaret-style performances, traditional dances, Bavarian bingo and the endurance competition to raise full mugs.
